Alissa & Tim Madly. In. LOVE. {Lake Tapps Wedding Photographer}

Meet Alissa and Tim  and Sean..:) )

I was  honored to capture there special day…..Not only was this my first “Official” wedding on my own…but Alissa and Tim are a dream to work laid back and they both have an incredible love for family.   From the moment we talked on the phone (they live in Reno) I knew this was going to be a special day … and I am so glad they picked me to to do the job…

I will always have a special place in my heart for this shoot..not because… it was literally pouring down rain and I looked like “Mary Popin’s ” during our monsoon style shoot a week before the wedding, Alissa’s veil almost falling in the water not one..but 3 times (inches away) , motor boat on the lake (Alissa and Tim will get this!) , the guest list going from  17  to 50 in one week -they are well loved!…..because they are two special people who you can tell are so very in love !

Tim and Alissa reside in Vegas….and a wonderful little boy named Sean!  The wedding took place on Tapps Island..small and intimate with all of the family present.   Alissa’s mom is battling cancer so if you can say a prayer for her recovery…she is such a strong awesome woman!  I will let their words finish the rest!

Get ready to grab some Kleenex…some special words from the bride and groom!

Alissa Says:

On how they met : ” My sister and I helped him (Tim) and his friend move. I told her that I thought he was cute, but she said no, he is too shy. Then a few months later I saw him on my birthday. I still thought he was cute, and so nice. Then a few months later my sister brought him and his friend to a barbeque at another friends house. We went to the monster trucks with his son later that week and have been together ever since. I fall more in love with him everyday. I love so many things about him. First of all, I am so attracted to him because he is such a good Dad and loves his son so much! He puts others peoples needs before his own. He is a good listener. Sean will ask to go ice skating or to the museum, and Tim remembers it and takes us all iceskating! I love that he is humble. He doesn’t feel like he has to prove anything to anyone. He is not materialistic. Tim is a hardworker and is responsible! I do love it when he laughs, and I love it when he smiles and I get to see his teeth. I love how me makes me coffee in the morning! He is so understanding. He was there for me when I found out my Mom had cancer. He holds me when I am sad or unsure about something. He is supportive and says I can go see my Mom whenever I need to. I love everything that makes Tim, Tim! He is a little too quiet sometimes, but I enjoy trying to get things out of him! And then there is more time for me to talk, just joking! (kinda) I am so lucky to have such a sweet husband and wonderful stepson to spend the rest of my life with. We compliment eachother. When we try to go to church in the morning and get all packed to go skiing in the same day, he is totally on it. I can be getting ready and he is loading the car, getting us all ready to go! I love it when he plays games with Sean and I. I like that he is nice to strangers and polite to other people. Neither one of us are perfect, he loves me for who I am and accepts me with my faults! He makes me want to be the best person I can be. I love having a partner; that we can face this crazy world together.”
Tim says…
I love alissa for the way she takes care of me and sean, the way she touches me when I’m not expecting it. Also the way she reads to sean and teaches him things. I love that she stands up for me and makes me do the hard things in life that i don’t want to do but need to do. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her.
Congrats!  I wish you the best of luck in your new life as husband and wife! xoxo Rachel
