Valerie & Jacob { A Love like “The Notebook”} Puyallup Engagement Photographer

Let me start off by saying..this is a VERY long blog post!  I had the pleasure of taking Valerie and Jacob’s pictures while they were in town from Virgina.  We had been talking about the session for months prior but really didn’t come up with a theme until literally two days before the shoot!   I was so inspired by my favorite store ” Today’s Country store” (antique store in Sumner Wa) 4th of July window …still thinking about the red bike in the window and all the red white and blue classic American decor… that after my morning photo shoot  shoot I raced down and bought it along with the fabulous red hair piece!   Nothing like collecting props hours before..lol!   Valerie had the perfect dress, look and hair (done by her fabulous mother in law) …so we went with a spin off  of “The Notebook” .  Besides being my favorite movie in the entire world….I almost peed my pants when they showed up!!!!!!  WOW!   I swear if Valerie lived here I would partner with her..she has  such great vision and I think it all came together perfectly!!!   I am just in love with the whole shoot…I could have taken photographs of them for hours!

A tid bit about Val and Jake:

Loves:
Visiting Family
Watching Netflix
Playing with our dog, Zoey
Working out (well Jacob likes it, and I pretend to like it)
Going to the beach
Looking at model houses and pretending we might get to live there one day!
Eating (I’m ashamed to say that should probably be at the top of the list!)
our Tempurpedic mattress!

Dislikes:
Humidity
Bugs/Snakes/Spiders
Living away from family
Delayed Flights
Sushi
Being late

This photo shoot  was a pretty big deal!  Jacob was in the Navy across country at Dive school when they were planning their wedding.  Valerie only got to visit Jacob once in 4 months so they never got to take engagement pictures.
When they  got our pictures back after the wedding they were  a little disappointed being that they did not share the same vision with their photographer (in Vegas) as to how their pictures turned out…

I am so thrilled they hired me for the job!  Everyone get’s a second chance right?  So we are calling these engagement pictures! (even though they have been married for one year! he hee)

Can’t wait to do it again when you lovebirds are in town! xoxo Rachel
