My Family {a trip to snow shoe tree farm} Bonney Lake area Photographer

I have to say…when I look back at these past 3 years …I can’t help but realize I have been working non stop.   It all seems like a crazy whirlwind.  A couple weeks ago I read a blog post on Facebook news feed from “Jeff Marsh Studio’s”  it brought me too tears.  It was a shoot documenting a woman and her children cutting down their Christmas tree….(she lost her husband two years ago in the war).  It just reminded me of the simple things that really need to be documented.  Everyday life. Everyday experiences.   I love nothing more than reading a blog and being able to feel like it’s telling the whole story.  I am not going to lie..I LOVE a TON of pictures(most of my clients can testify to  I can never seem to get enough when looking at them always wishing they would never end.

I have really missed a lot with my family..or choose not to take my camera out because I have been shooting for the day and the last thing I want to do is take out the camera again when I get home.    In reflecting these past few months..I have new found inspiration  and vow to start documenting my “own ” family again.   Every year as a family we go to “Snow shoe Christmas tree farm” parents, my brother and us of course!   I have been trying for two years to take pictures of my parents…and this was the perfect opportunity to capture my family and tell our story.   My children are so lucky to have two awesome sets of grandparents.  We wish our “Mee Maw and Pee paw” could be with us too..but they live in sunny orange county…(can’t wait to do a beach session with them when we visit this year)

Yes..I am 33 and my parents still get on me like I am 10 years old.  They love my kids more than life.  My dad tries to charge me for dinner when I visit. My brother has become such a great friend/helper and such a wonderful uncle to my boys,he is always there  for me when I  need something.  My parents have been married 34 years and are still in love like teenagers.  My boys love their “nana” and “papa” .  They live in the house I grew up in.  My boys get to take baths in the old fashioned claw foot tub I did growing up..and I remember it feeling like it was an ocean!   My mom has the best decorating idea’s hence I steal many of her antiques for props.  We are so dysfunctional but we really do have  good time together and laugh A LOT.   Even though I swear I am adopted  …I wouldn’t have it any other way.   I love them to pieces and was happy that I could be with them this year getting the tree!
